It’s been a while. I’ve had the most hectic amazing summer of my life. I’ve been travelling around and starting my amazing new job. I’ve got some new plans and post ideas, which I can’t wait to start sharing with you. I’d LOVE to hear feedback from you, what posts you like and what you want to see more of. I don’t care if you don’t like it, you keep that to yourself love!
But before all that I need to tell you about my amazing European travels. So me and my lovely boyfriend travelled this summer. We started in Vienna, went on to Ljubljana, Budapest, Prague, Berlin and ended in Copenhagen. I could make this blog pages and pages long but I’d probably be the only one to read it. I’ve created some boards that put together some of my highlights.
The first, was the amount of bloody art we saw. Amazing galleries, museums, bars, squatter’s cities and graffiti. Such beautiful amazing pieces literally around every corner. Including the Mumok gallery in Vienna, which for a mere 11 euros we were granted access to 5 floors of beautiful, often extremely peculiar, modern art.
Secondly, beautiful free stuff! One thing I’ve learnt from my travels is that I’m a big fan of a body of water. My absolute fave was Kastrup Søbad in Copenhagen. An amazing sea bath, far out to sea so you could dive into the water, but with the beautiful wooden structure giving shelter from the wind. The water was unbelievably cold and the scenic views were breathtaking. The most beautiful refreshing swim I’ve ever had.
Lastly, and I warn this one may induce nausea! The company. I’ve been with James nearly 3 years now, and clearly I’m fond of him. But travelling with him really highlighted what a truly wonderful person he is. I mean don’t get me wrong at times I genuinely wanted to throw him under a train, but on the whole he’s a real good egg and he makes me incredibly happy.
So those were the highlights of my amazing summer. Culture, bodies of water and a good egg. Now I’m in the real world with an actual bloody job! More on that next time. Thanks for reading.
